4 pm PT | 5 pm MT | 6 pm CT | 7 pm ET | 11 am Sydney With Corrine Stoewsand, Ph.D. Caring deeply for someone who struggles with emotional dysregulation and impulsivity can be confusing and painful. A calm moment can suddenly turn into conflict. You may be blamed, misunderstood, or shut out. Over time, you may find yourself walking on eggshells — tense, cautious, and emotionally worn down. You may have tried very hard to help. You’ve read books, listened to podcasts, joined support groups, maybe even sought therapy. And still you wonder: "Why does this keep happening?" "Am I making it worse?" "Is there a better way to respond?" If you are exhausted, angry, sad, or confused — that makes sense. These patterns are hard on families. Years ago, I found myself shrinking my world in an effort to prevent conflict with people I cared about. I tried to manage reactions and say the “right” thing. Sometimes it helped briefly. Often it did not. Then I began learning DBT. Dialectical Behavior Therapy gave me a clearer understanding of emotional dysregulation and practical skills I could actually use. I trained extensively with Marsha Linehan, and for over 20 years I have taught these skills to families navigating high-conflict or highly avoidant relationships. In this 12-week workshop, YOU WILL LEARN: What drives emotional and interpersonal dysregulation How to reduce escalation instead of unintentionally fueling it How to validate without reinforcing harmful behaviors How to set clear, steady limits How to stop overfunctioning and regain emotional balance How to respond in ways that increase the likelihood of cooperation and change This workshop is not about fixing your loved one. It is about strengthening you. When you respond with clarity and steadiness, you reduce your own suffering — and you become more effective in helping your loved one move toward responsibility and recovery. WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY: “After reading many books, this workshop brought everything together — skills, clarity, and acceptance. I felt less overwhelmed, stopped trying to control, and saw real changes in my relationship within weeks.” If you are ready to feel less reactive and more grounded, I invite you to join me. It is an investment of $540 total, that is $45 per class. The fee is per person, not per family. Register for four interest-free installments with Afterpay if desired. The program includes teaching, exercises, discussion, and real-life application.
